He may not have come away with the final rose, but Chris Soules won the hearts of millions of fans during last season’s “The Bachelorette.”
Now he’ll get a second chance at finding love in the upcoming show “The Bachelor,” it was announced on “Good Morning America” on Wednesday.
Soules, 32, is a football-loving farmer from Iowa and made it as far as the final three bachelors before Dorfman sent him home.
Soules played the romantic, leaving anonymous love notes for Dorfman and giving her the first kiss of the season.
Soules said Wednesday on GMA that he was humbled and grateful to be chosen as the newest bachelor.
“My focus on the show is to make the girls feel as comfortable as possible,” Soules said.
Now the network’s job is to find contestants willing to move to Soules’ hometown of Arlington, Iowa -- which boasts a population of 427 -- and take up the life of a farmer’s wife.
The new season will begin airing in January.
