Dancing With The Stars premiere: How will new switch rule affect ABC dance show?

PHOENIX - The next season of DWTS is switching things up, quite literally!

Ahead of tonight's premiere, let's go over some of the things that are changing.

New to this year's season is co-host, Erin Andrews, who will join Tom Bergeron, each week talking about the stars' routines, stumbles and improvements.

It was announced earlier this year that Brooke Burke-Charvet will not be returning to host the show.

Also new to this year's show is a twist - The Switch Up! (dun! dun! dun!)

For the first time ever, viewers will have the power to control whom the stars dance with, or potentially don't dance with throughout the show.

Stars will have to switch partners at least one time throughout the show, according to the rules.

So, while Drew Carey and Cheryl Burke are dance partners now, they may not be in week two, if they make it that far of course.

Will the new rule spice things up? Will it break down those power house couples? Who will end up with the mirror ball at the end?

Watch the premiere of Dancing With The Stars TONIGHT on ABC15 at 7 p.m.
