PHOENIX - The new year is here and while many of us fine tune our resolutions, some are gearing up for tonight's premiere of the 'The Bachelor' on ABC15. Are you?
New this time are some local ties. Bachelor Ben Flajnik attended the University of Arizona.
How well do you know Ben? Take The Bachelor quiz!
Three of the women competing for his heart are from Arizona, too.
In last season's The Bachelorette, Ashley picked JP over Ben. Now, Ben is back.
The consolation prize for being the runner up is actually not so bad since he's now the next Bachelor with 25 women to choose from.
The Bachelor franchise, which also includes The Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad, is very much a social experience.
It's hard to watch and not discuss with someone.
The Bachelor can also make the most dreaded day of the week, Monday, a day where you look forward to a party in your living room with family and friends.
Even if you watch by yourself, you can talk about it at work the next day with your co-workers or, if you just can't get enough, there are always the thousands of Bachelor blogs and social media.
Of course, The Bachelor is far from the reality of dating and finding your true love. Not many people have their first date skydiving or going on a helicopter ride.
But everyone that watches knows that Trista and Ryan found each other on season 1 of The Bachelorette and they're still happily married with two children. So there's still hope that the next match will work out.
And even if it doesn't work out, the drama can sometimes be just as interesting to watch.
Some of you might remember Jake and Vienna's public breakup special and then watching them have to live in the same mansion on the Bachelor Pad last summer.

We'll all be watching and eagerly anticipating each rose ceremony. You can dish with us about each week's drama Monday nights and Tuesday mornings on ABC15.com and ABC15 on Facebook . Here's to a new season!
