PHOENIX - Downtown Phoenix will be transformed into a "haboob" of zombies as up to 10,000 arm munchers swarm the streets Saturday night.
Zombie Walk 4 is a free family-friendly event taking place at Heritage & Science Park from 2 - 11 p.m., according to a Downtown Phoenix Partnership news release.
The event features the Arizona Science Center Kid's Zone, Downtown Ambassadors Carnage Carnival, Rose & Crown Beer Garden with Four Peaks Brewing Company, live music, food/craft/makeup vendors, costume contests, United Blood Services Bloodmobile, St. Mary's canned food drive and of course the largest zombie herd west of New Orleans.
If you want to be a zombie but don't know where or how to turn, Zombie Walk 4 will be staffed by a variety of professionals eager to train you how to look, act and feel like a proper zombie.
A canned food donation to St. Mary's Food bank will set you up with a volunteer makeup artist and there will be professional artists on hand performing paid zombie makeovers. There will also be limp coaches on hand.
