PHOENIX - The third annual Amazing Arizona Comic Convention is this weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center, featuring guest appearances by Marvel Comics' Stan Lee and DC Comics' Jim Lee.
According to officials, the convention will take place January 25-27. The show floor will be filled with more than 100 exhibitors and more than 100 artists.
Officials said comic fans will also have an opportunity to meet the creators of the comic books such as Stan Lee, who is the creator of Spider Man, Iron Man, and Avengers, and Jim Lee who is the head of DC Comics and known for Batman and the Justice League.
Throughout the weekend, Comicon fans can also play video games against others in the Video Game Arena.
There will be activates for children too. Officials said that on Kids' Day Sunday, Mat Nastos, one of the artists behind the Disney Channel's popular show Phineas and Ferb, will be available to sign autographs and take pictures.
Photo opportunities will be available with various costume and ‘cosplay' groups dressed as famous comic characters every day at the convention.
Weekend passes are $50, Saturday passes are $35, and Friday or Sunday-only passes are $25. Tickets are available at all Ticketmaster locations, the Phoenix Convention box office and online.
