Chick-fil-A opening in Tempe; first 100 people in line get free meals for one year

TEMPE, AZ - Chick-fil-A will open its newest branch in Tempe Thursday morning, which could be good news for up to 100 fans of the restaurant chain.

As part of the opening event, the restaurant, located across the street from Arizona State University at 25 W. University Drive, will provide the first 100 people in line who are age 18 and older free Chick-fil-A meals for year.

The meals come in the form of 52 coupons that are each worth a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich, medium waffle potato fries and a medium drink.

The award cards are handed out at 7 a.m. on Thursday, and a drawing will be held to whittle down the number of entrants to 100 if there are more than 100 people in line as of 6 a.m. Wednesday. Those final 100 are required to stay in line until the opening on Thursday.

Visit or check out the location's Facebook page, Chick-fil-A on University at Mill Avenue, for more information.
