'Ballroom with a Twist' performance brings together celebrity dancers, singers, choregraphers

PHOENIX - A new event combining your favorite television dancing stars and singers is set to hit Phoenix's Orpheum Theater in December.

"Ballroom with a Twist" is a medley of performances with your favorite dancing pros such as Peta Murgatroyd, Tony Dovolani, Sasha Farber, Chelsie Hightower and Emma Slater from ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," said Reida York, Director of Public Relations for the theater.

"So You Think You Can Dance," Fox's dance show, finalists Randi Lynn Strong, Jonathan Platero and Legacy will also be performing, said York.

The musical element will be provided by "American Idol" finalists Gina Glocksen and  Von Smith.

The performance will combine traditional dances, like the Fox Trot, Waltz and Samba, with upbeat modern "hip-hop" styles, she said.

This family-friendly event entertains with its exotic costumes, great music and phenomenal performances.
