American Canned Craft Beer Festival: What you need to know before you go

Beer lovers, you're going to want to pay attention to this story.

This weekend the ameriCAN Canned Craft Beer [SIC] Festival returns to the Valley with more than 250 brews. You'll be able to sip and sample brews from more than 40 breweries. Some are local to Arizona, while others are national.

Scroll down to learn everything you need to know before you head to the festival. Before we go further, just a quick reminder that the festival is strictly 21+. 

WHEN IS IT?

Saturday May 13 from 1 p.m. - 6 p.m. VIP ticket holders can get in early at noon.

HOW MUCH IS IT?

General admission is $35 when bought online or $45 the day of the event. VIP passes are $100 and only available online. Designated Driver passes are $20.

General admission and VIP pass holders will receive a souvenir 4-ounce can and 20 beer samples. VIP tickets get access to a special beer garden and catered food. Designated Driver passes get complimentary soft drinks and water.

WHERE IS IT?

The festival has moved to a new location this year. It will take place at Margaret T. Hance Park, 67 W. Culver Street in Phoenix.

PARKING

There are paid lots, parking meters and parking structures throughout the Phoenix metro. The light rail also has a stop within walking distance of Margaret T. Hance Park. Other options include taxi, Uber and Lyft.

THE BEER

Perhaps the most important section of this story, the festival will feature more than 250 canned brews from more than 40 breweries local, national and international, according to the release.

Besides the beer, there will be live music, seminars and beer Olympic games throughout the event. Two Fat Guys Grilled Cheese, Tom's BBQ, Simon's Hot Dogs, El Jefe Tacos and HopDoddy Burgers will be there serving food.
