'DWTS' star, Chelsea Kane, serving as Grand Marshal at Phoenix Children's Hospital IGNITE HOPE walk

PHOENIX - Former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, and Valley native, Chelsea Kane will be the Grand Marshal of IGNITE HOPE, a candlelight walk benefiting Phoenix Children's Hospital.

According to Phoenix Children's Hospital, the December 8th event will feature performances by Scott MacIntyre, the Arizona resident who was the first blind finalist on "American Idol".

Interested walkers can register for $20 at www.pchignitehope.com .

According to PCH, walkers who raise at least $250 will be entered for a chance to win prizes. All of the proceeds from the event will go towards the hospital.

The hospital is also encouraging participants to bring a new, unwrapped toy. According to PCH, elves will place the toys under a big Christmas tree in front of the hospital during the walk.

The walk will start at 5 p.m. at the Phoenix Plaza at 2929 North Central Avenue in Phoenix and head 1.7 miles to PCH.

PCH is one of the charities involved with ABC15's Operation Santa Claus .
