2015 Arizona State Fair admission discounts, deals and promotions

PHOENIX - The Arizona State Fair opens this week.

For 18 days, fairgoers will be able to take part in deep-fried everything, fan-favorite rides and hokey shows.

Regular admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors (55+). If you're on a budget, the fair does have discounts and promotions, but you will want to plan ahead.

Opening Day (Oct. 16): General admission is $2 until 5 p.m.

3 Every Day $3 Discount: Bring in a receipt showing the purchase of one milk, one cheese and one yogurt product to receive $3 off any regularly-priced general admission ticket.

We Care Wednesdays (in partnership with ABC15's Operation Santa Claus): Bring in four non-perishable food items to benefit St. Mary's Food Bank and receive free admission. Note: This is valid only until 6 p.m.

Armed Forces Day (Nov. 4): Free admission for all military active duty, reservists, veterans and retired personnel and their families. Just enter through the Encanto admission gate. Note: Military ID required.

Free Hour Thursdays: Free admission from noon to 1 p.m.

Free Fry's Fridays: Spend $40 or more at Fry's Food Stores and on your receive get a voucher for 2 free adult admission tickets for any Friday at the fair. Note: $40 much be spent in 1 transaction. Valid Oct. 23, 30 and Nov. 6 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

$2 Before 2 Weekends: Admission is $2 before 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
