PHOENIX - Steve Nash's ex-wife is accusing him of blocking her move to Los Angeles so he can avoid paying child support for his three kids, according to court documents.
Alejandra Amarilla is locked in a legal battle with Nash over where she's allowed to move,
TMZ reports. She wants to relocate from Phoenix to L.A. so her children can live closer to their father, but Nash has reportedly tried vigorously to stop such a move.
Nash supposedly told Amarilla he didn't want her to move because he could be traded or forced into retirement, which would mean she'd just have to move again.
But Amarilla isn't buying it, TMZ reports. She's accusing Nash of trying to avoid huge child support obligations that California courts would likely place on him—something Arizona courts haven't done.
Amarilla says Nash isn't paying any child support, and she thinks he wants to keep it that way.
For now, a judge has issued a restraining order on Amarilla, preventing her from moving West until after their trial scheduled for next week.
