TEMPE, AZ - Flooding on the US 60 caused a major backup Sunday morning in Tempe.
Drivers experienced long delays, especially around 11 a.m., near Mill Avenue in both directions.
Traffic had to squeeze through just one lane until all lanes were back open around 12 p.m.
Traffic was initially blocked in both directions after heavy rain hit the area around 10:30 a.m.
In downtown Phoenix, drivers also experienced delays in the Interstate 10 tunnel with three eastbound lanes temporarily blocked due to flooding.
That area has also been reopened.
