PHOENIX - Drivers heading north Tuesday night on Interstate 17 may run into delays at Cordes Junction.
Northbound I-17 will be closed intermittently at Cordes Junction from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 2 a.m. Wednesday for work at the Big Bug Creek Bridge.
Each closure is scheduled to last up to 15 minutes. Drivers should adjust travel schedules or expect delays.
The right lane of northbound I-17 at Cordes Junction will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. through Friday.
The left lane of southbound I-17 at Cordes Junction will be closed from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday causing delays.
The work is part of a $50 million project to reconstruct the I-17 and State Route 69 traffic interchange, which is scheduled for completion by summer 2013.
