PHOENIX - The price at Arizona gas pumps continues to rise.
The price has increased both weeks since the new year began. Statewide, drivers are paying roughly $3.29 per gallon – an increase of more than 4 cents from last week.
However, Arizona is still below the national average of $3.38, according to AAA Arizona.
The increase is linked to the increase in price of crude oil and global tensions. Officials estimate that pump prices could climb to an all-time high if conditions don’t change.
Across Arizona, Tucson had the lowest gas price average at $3.15. Yuma had the highest at $3.38.
