TEMPE, AZ - If you're headed out to the ASU-Oregon football game Thursday, you may want to check out traffic conditions before you leave.

70,000 people are expected to attend the Pac-12 showdown between the Arizona State Sun Devils and the Oregon Ducks at Sun Devil Stadium.

The Arizona Department of Transportation is advising fans using east Valley freeways to try to arrive at the game early and allow extra travel time during the rush hour leading up to the 6 p.m. kickoff.

Regular commuters who usually travel eastbound on Loop 202 in the afternoon and evening might consider an alternate route to the east Valley, including eastbound I-10 to US 60, or northbound State Route 51 to the eastbound Loop 101.

ADOT also recommends that fans use the light rail to head to and from the game. Metro Light Rail's service makes multiple stops within walking distance of the stadium.
