LONDON - As many continue final preparations for the start of the 2012 Olympic Games, 19 students from Arizona State University are in London to take part in the media coverage.

The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication is covering all the events in London for print, online, and on air.

The festivities kick off Friday.

The 15 undergraduate and four graduate students will be there for three weeks with Cronkite School Assistant Dean Mark Lodato and faculty associate Greg Boeck, according to a news release.

The students were chosen through a competitive process and will get credit for the experience.

They are staying at a residence hall at the University College of London.
