Some new photos of Michael Phelps could land the Olympic swimmer in hot water, according to a Friday report.

Yahoo.com said Annie Leibovitz snapped the images of the athlete as part of a photo shoot with Louis Vuitton.

The issue is that the International Olympic Committee’s Rule 40 states athletes cannot promote any non-Olympic sponsors from July 18th to August 15th, according to Yahoo.com.

The photos were reportedly leaked last week, but it is unclear who released them.

The article said punishments could range from fines to a stripping of medals, but that it is unlikely Phelps will lose his medals from London. Read more.
