Jeff Butler is eating his way to the top.
As a rookie competitive eater, Butler has consumed a lot of food lately.
Last month he dominated the competition at a local sushi eating contest when he downed twelve burrito-sized rolls.
Last week he traveled to Las Vegas to try his hand at qualifying for the iconic Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest. Thirty-one-and-a-half hot dogs later, he took the prize in that competition too.
That victory solidified Jeff’s next stop in New York City to chow down at Nathan's Famous July 4 International Hot Dog-Eating Contest.
Butler will be one of twelve that go head-to-head with five-time champ Joey Chestnut.
If you want to watch the event, it's July 4 on ESPN3 at 12 p.m. ET and tape-delayed on ESPN at 3 p.m.
