PHOENIX - Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt has named John Skelton the starting quarterback for week one against the Seattle Seahawks.

That game is scheduled for Sunday, September 9th at the University of Phoenix Stadium.

Skelton was in a long battle for the position with Kevin Kolb for the regular season opener.
