TEMPE, AZ - Some Navy fans successfully completed a stealth mission overnight, leaving Arizona State University's signature gold "A" painted blue ahead of Saturday's big game.

The teams are set to face off in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl at 2 p.m. Saturday in San Francisco.

Even worse? Not only did the Navy pranksters paint the "A" blue, they also wrote "Go Navy".

Of course Sun Devil nation couldn't let the "A" stay blue, so the Alumni Association gathered a crew together Friday afternoon to return the high-profile letter to its original gold hue.

"We certainly didn't expect it from the Navy. We always expect it from U of A and other Pac 12 rivals, but not from the Navy," said Alison Gabel with the ASU Alumni Association. "We were caught off guard."
