AVONDALE, AZ - When you think of tailgating food, you probably think of hamburgers and hot dogs, but at Phoenix International Raceway, fans are treated to a fine dining experience thanks to the Bashas' track-side grocery store.
In the heart of thousands of RVs, the Bashas' Tent Store encourages campers to arrive with empty refrigerators and cupboards as they can stock up at the 7,500 square foot store.
Yes the tent store has the typical tailgating foods but they also have sushi, meats straight out of the smoker, beer and ice, birthday cakes, you name it and the track-side grocery store has it.
The store has a reputation for being the best setup on the NASCAR circuit.
"We just came into this 10 years ago not really knowing any better and we just kind of hit it out of the park, and we're told by all the NASCAR teams, the pit crews shop here, that this is the best one on the entire circuit," Bashas' spokesman Rob Johnson said.
It's no wonder hundreds of thousands of fans, race teams and race officials have named the Phoenix International Raceway's, Bashas' Tent Store, the best on the NASCAR circuit.
