PHOENIX - The Arizona Cardinals’ first-round draft pick will receive a special welcome to the state Friday when he throws the ceremonial first pitch for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Jonathan Cooper, an offensive guard from North Carolina, was selected seventh overall at the 2013 NFL Draft yesterday.
Cooper will throw the first pitch before the D-Backs take on the Rockies at 6:40 p.m.
The D-Backs will meet Cooper on the field and welcome him with his own team jersey, according to a Diamondbacks news release.
