TEMPE, AZ - Let’s talk Cardinals! The question is, “Are they better now than they were a week ago?”
My gut tells me no! And here’s why.
So far in free agency, the Arizona Cardinals have picked up a couple of linebackers, a running back, a quarterback, a safety and a defensive corner.
They’ve also released a running back, a couple of safeties, a quarterback and a receiver. Notice anything missing from that list?
So far, the Cardinals have not addressed the glaring issue: an offensive line that gave up more sacks than any other team in the league last season (58) and rushed for fewer yards than any other team in the league!
But the new coaching staff is telling us, the “O” line is better than we think. They tell us that when this group of linemen is healthy, they’re pretty good.
Come on! No. 1 in sacks allowed in 2012, and last in total rushing yards and rushing yards per game, and they’re supposed to be pretty good?
That’s a bit of a stretch don’t you think?
Hey, I’m just saying.
That’s Fouhy on Sports!
