PHOENIX - In all likeliness, Steve Nash will not be in a Phoenix Suns uniform next season, which means the Suns will need to find a replacement for the man that has ran their offense to perfection for the last eight years.

It's a sad thought if you're a Suns fan, but the sooner you get over it the better. The Suns need a star that can fill seats, sell jerseys, and most importantly, replace most of the production left behind by Nash.

They're out of the Deron Williams race, as he narrowed his two potential destinations to Dallas and Brooklyn, and no other point guard on the market is really worth throwing too much money at.

They could draft a point guard, but neither Kendall Marshall of the University of North Carolina or Damian Lillard of Weber State appear to be the absolute answer at the position.

Jeremy Lin is a possibility, but would he really leave New York City and Madison Square Garden for Phoenix and the US Airways Center? Probably not.

How about this solution: Bring back Goran Dragic.

Dragic is a cult hero in the Phoenix area and would instantly fill seats. He's developed his game, and has shown he can do more than score the basketball (7.75 assists per game after taking over as the starter last season for 28 games). He's young, energetic, plays with passion, and he'd be fairly cheap.

That would then free the Suns up to draft a solid backcourt mate for him (say Dion Waiters out of Syracuse, Austin Rivers out of Duke, or Terrence Ross out of Washington), and use the rest of their cap room to fill out the roster.

At one point Dragic was supposed to be the eventual successor to Nash anyway, so why not bring him back and try it one more time?
