PHOENIX - This year's Super Bowl is a re-match of Super Bowl 42 held in Glendale back in 2008. History tells us that the Giants scored 14 fourth quarter points to come back and win the game and steal a perfect season from the Patriots.

But then again, each game and each season is new, so to put much stock in a game that happened four years ago wouldn’t be prudent.

So let’s put that one behind us, and look toward this year's game and to do that, let’s take a look at some of the key match-ups for Sunday's game in Indianapolis.

We start with the Patriots' offensive line vs. the Giants' front four:

The Patriots' offensive line is experienced, but they'll have their hands full with the defensive front of the Giants. With what the Giants can throw at you inside, the Patriots' offensive line will have to be at their best!

The Patriots tight ends vs. the Giants defensive backs:

Will Rob Gronkowski play? He's officially listed as questionable, but I think we can expect him to play. The big question is, how much? The Giants will have their hands full with Gronkowski and fellow tight end, Aaron Hernandez.

Tom Brady vs. Eli Manning:

Brady is having another great year, leading the Patriots to 39 TD’s and a 105.6 quarterback rating. He’s completed 66 percent of his passes this season for 5,235 yards. Manning has thrown 29 Touchdowns for the Giants and finished the regular season with a QB rating of 92.9. He’s completed 61 percent of his passes for 4,933 yards.

Prediction:

The Patriots have won 10 straight games coming into the Super Bowl and have perhaps one of the best quarterbacks in history.

Manning comes from a long line of quarterbacks, but I just don’t see him out-playing Brady this time around.

Patriots (13-3)
513 points for
342 points against
+171 net points

Giants (9-7)
394 points for
400 Points against
-6 net points

I’m taking the Patriots in this one, 31 - 27
