SATURDAY 11/17

NATIONAL ADOPTION DAY
More than 300 children will officially become part of permanent homes at National Adoption Day. 9am-2pm, Maricopa County Juvenile Court, Phoenix.

BIG POWERBALL JACKPOT
The jackpot for Saturday's Powerball drawing is estimated at $214 million.

ANTHEM TREE LIGHTING
America's tallest Christmas tree, standing 110 feet tall, will be lit at a gala featuring performances by the most recent American Idol winner as well as a Disney Channel star. 5:30pm-8:30pm, Outlets at Anthem.

PHOENIX UNDY 5000
Raising funds for the Colon Cancer Alliance, people will join in a 5K run/walk in their underwear. 9am, State Capitol District, Phoenix.

ASU FOOTBALL VS WASHINGTON STATE
It's Military Appreciation Day at the stadium as Arizona State hosts Washington State. 1pm, Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe.

SUNDAY 11/18

SILENT WITNESS MEMORIAL
Family and friends of Justin Ayala will hold a candlelight vigil to honor his memory. He was shot 11 years ago while driving, was instantly paralyzed, and died six months later from his injuries. The case remains unsolved. 5pm-7pm, 35th Avenue & Camelback Road, Phoenix.

IRONMAN ARIZONA
Nearly 3,000 athletes will compete in the 2012 Ironman Arizona, which consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a 26.2-mile run. 6:45am, Tempe Beach Park.

CARDINALS AT FALCONS
The Arizona Cardinals travel to play the Atlanta Falcons. 1pm EST, Georgia Dome, Atlanta.

MONDAY 11/19

PUBLIC SPACE UNVEILING
A vacant 15-acre lot is being transformed into a public space featuring urban community farming, outdoor educational opportunities, and large public art displays. 10:30am, Central & Indian School, Phoenix.
