SUPERSTORM SANDY
As cleanup begins on the East Coast from Superstorm Sandy, President Obama is scheduled to tour the devastation in New Jersey after declaring a major disaster for areas of that state and New York.
PHOENIX SUNS OPENING GAME
The Phoenix Suns will host the Golden State Warriors to open the 2012-2013 season. The big question surrounding the team is how they will perform without former star Steve Nash. 7 p.m., US Airways Center, Phoenix.
BURN HERO SPEAKS
Boyd Smith will address the media, five months after saving his family from their burning Black Canyon City home. Smith is a championship rodeo rider born without arms and only one leg. He suffered third-degree burns over more than 90 percent of his body. 1 p.m., Maricopa Medical Center, Phoenix.
DOCTOR HIT-RUN ARRAIGNMENT
Nicholas Linsk, charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident that killed a local neurologist who was riding a bicycle in Fountain Hills, is scheduled to be arraigned. 8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
EX-WIFE BOYFRIEND MURDER ARRAIGNMENT
David Gerald Walker, charged with first-degree murder for allegedly killing his ex-wife's boyfriend while he was sleeping in her home, is scheduled to be arraigned. 8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
HALLOWEEN
With parents rushing to get home and trick-or-treaters roaming the streets, the Arizona Department of Transportation is urging drivers to plan extra travel time and to drive more cautiously in neighborhoods.
