Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett will testify before the U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary about "The State of the Right to Vote After the 2012 Election." The hearing will focus on making sure every American's right to vote is protected. Officials from other states will also testify. 10 a.m. EST, Dirksen Senate Office Building, Washington, D.C.
FAST FOOD ROBBERIES SENTENCING
Christopher Kimball, who pleaded guilty to four counts of armed robbery in connection with a string of fast food restaurant robberies, is scheduled to be sentenced. 8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
NAKED CARJACK CHANGE OF PLEA
John Brigham, charged with robbery, endangerment, theft, and other charges in connection with an alleged carjacking while he was naked, is scheduled for a change of plea hearing. 8:30 a.m., Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
DROWNING HERO HONORED
When Diana Gilmore fell into a lake, hit her head and passed out, Katy Tharp jumped into the water and pulled her to safety. The Scottsdale Fire Department will recognize her heroics. 10 a.m., Angel Lake at McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale.
PEDIATRIC LIVER TRANSPLANT
Phoenix Children's Hospital and Mayo Clinic will hold a news conference about the Valley's first pediatric liver transplant in more than two decades. 10 a.m., Phoenix Children's Hospital.
