LAWMAKER SENTENCING
Former State Representative Ben Arredondo is scheduled to be sentenced after pleading guilty to federal fraud charges. The plea agreement calls for 27 to 51 months in prison. 1:30pm, Sandra Day O'Connor U.S. Courthouse, Phoenix.
SECRETARY CLINTON BENGAZI TESTIMONY
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is scheduled to testify on Capitol Hill about the terrorist attack in Bengazi, Libya, killing four including a U.S. ambassador. 9am EST with Senate Foreign Relations Committee, 2pm EST with House Foreign Affairs Committee, Washington, D.C.
PHOENIX SPENDING TRANSPARENCY
The Arizona Public Interest Research Group will release a new report grading Phoenix and other large cities on their level of transparency on spending, contracts, subsidies, and service requests. 10am, Cesar Chavez Memorial Plaza, Phoenix.
FORECLOSURE PREVENTION
Phoenix residents facing foreclosure can get much-needed help at a free event. The Phoenix Neighborhood Services and Arizona Foreclosure Prevention Task Force event will let homeowners meet face-to-face with HUD certified housing counselors to explore their options. 3pm-7pm, South Mountain Community Center, Phoenix.
