SCHOOL SAFETY
Going into the new legislative session next week and on the heels of the school shooting in Connecticut, the Arizona House Minority Leader will detail a proposal to increase school safety. 10 a.m., Historic Senate Chambers, Arizona State Capitol, Phoenix.
Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio will discuss the program placing volunteer posse members at Valley schools to deter crime. 2 p.m., Anthem School.

WELLS FARGO HIRING
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is hiring more for more than 900 positions at its new Home Loan Operations center in Tempe. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday job fair, Phoenix Convention Center.

FIT PHX
Olympic Gold Medalist Misty Hyman will join the Mayor of Phoenix to kick off the FitPHX initiative, aimed at helping residents be healthy. 9:30 a.m,. Phoenix College.
