President Barack Obama on Wednesday will announce new measures aimed at curbing gun violence.
COYOTES SCRIMMAGE
As the Phoenix Coyotes prepare to open their strike-shortened season this weekend, the team will open up its Wednesday night scrimmage to the public. 6pm, Jobing.com Arena, Glendale.
GOOD SAMARITANS HONORED
The Mesa Fire and Medical Department will honor six residents for their heroic actions, which range from helping at the scene of a motorcycle accident to assisting an impaled postal worker to getting a neighbor out of burning house. 10am, Fire Station 218, Mesa.
