PHOENIX - An organization in Washington named Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer one of the worst governors in the U.S.
"Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington" made the announcement Wednesday.
Other governors on their list include Texas Gov. Rick Perry, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, and New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez.
"Gov. Brewer supported legislation benefiting a private prison company with which she maintains deep ties and improperly intervened in her state's independent redistricting process," a news release from CREW said.
Brewer's Director of Communications, Matthew Benson, told ABC15 by email:
"CREW is a far-left group with an objective to attack conservative governors. Its analysis is baseless."
