DEATH ROW CLEMENCY HEARING
Daniel Cook, scheduled to be executed next week for two murders in Mohave County in 1987, will petition for clemency to avoid the death penalty. Governor Jan Brewer would have to decide if the clemency board finds in favor of Cook. 9am, Arizona Board of Executive Clemency, Phoenix.

TENT CITY 20TH ANNIVERSARY
The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office will celebrate the 20th birthday of its Tent City Jail. The facility has housed more than 436,000 male and female inmates over its time to date. 12pm, Tent City, near Estrella Jail, Phoenix.

AIRPORT RUNWAY WORK
The north runway at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will close from Friday 11pm through Monday 6am for maintenance work. Airport officials expect possible delays at peak times of up to 25 minutes.

PEORIA FIRE BOAT
The Peoria Fire Department will show off its new fire boat, whose crew broke away from training earlier in the week for an actual water rescue. 9am, Lake Pleasant, Peoria.
