MURDER ACCOMPLICE SENTENCING
Sentencing is scheduled for Brittany Beinhauer and Katherine Austin, both co-defendants with Michael Crane in cases of murder in Paradise Valley and Phoenix. Beinhauer pleaded guilty to theft of a credit card. Austin pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution. 9am, Maricopa County Superior Court, Phoenix.
NEAR DROWNING LIFESAVER
Ray Espinoza will be honored for saving the life of a one-year-old girl who was found July 13 floating face down in a backyard swimming pool. 11:30am, Fire Station 152, Glendale.
CROSSING GUARD TRAINING
Approximately 400 crossing guards will get training before the start of the school year. 8am-12pm, Sunnyslope High School, Phoenix.
HAZE HEARING
The Environmental Protection Agency will hold a public hearing about new regional haze regulations and clean air standards. 6pm, Sandra Day O'Connor U.S. Courthouse, Phoenix.
