DIAMONDBACKS PLAYOFF GAME 5
In a must-win game, the Arizona Diamondbacks return to Milwaukee to play the Brewers in Game 5 of their National League Division Series. If the team loses, they’re out of the playoffs. If they win, they move on to play either the Philadelphia Phillies or the St. Louis Cardinals. 4:07pm CDT, Miller Park, Milwaukee.

OPERATION FAST AND FURIOUS
Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu and nine other elected sheriffs will hold a press conference to discuss ATF’s “Operation Fast and Furious.” 11am, Arizona Peace Officers Memorial, Wesley Bolin Plaza, Phoenix.

OCCUPY PHOENIX
The group planning to “occupy” the Arizona State Capitol indefinitely starting on October 15 will hold a demonstration to spread awareness about their movement. 3pm, Mill Avenue and Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe.

AFGHANISTAN PROTEST
The Phoenix Chapter of Veterans for Peace and the End the War Coalition will hold a protest on the 10th anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. The group wants to see the withdrawal of troops from the region. 8:30pm, 1st Avenue and Roosevelt, Phoenix.
