ASSAULT WEAPONS BAN BILL
The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee considers four bills related to guns, including an assault weapons ban. 10 a.m. EST, Washington, D.C.
BOEING 787 BATTERY INVESTIGATION
The National Transportation Safety Board will release documents on its investigation into the battery fire on a Japan Airlines Boeing 787, a system with Arizona manufacturing ties. 11 a.m. EST, Washington, D.C.
TRAIN COLLISION DRILL
West Valley Fire Departments will practice responding to a collision between a passenger car and a train carrying hazardous materials. 9 a.m., Glendale Regional Public Safety Training Center.
