PHOENIX, AZ - A loss of power and potable water supply as a result of flooding in Havasupai Nation has left more than 500 residents without water. Thankfully, St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance is reportedly sending about 30,000 water bottles to the Nation.
Because of summer temperatures, the food bank is already low on water bottles and is now in need of bottled water donations for the month of August to replenish its supplies.
Water donations can be taken to St. Mary’s Food Bank locations in Phoenix (2831 N. 31 st Avenue) and Surprise (13050 W. Elm Street) as well as all Goodwill store locations in the valley. Monetary donations can also be made at www.firstfoodbank.org , every $2 donation allowing the Food Bank to buy a new case of water.
