PHOENIX - A series of public events will be held to encourage feedback on potential Valley Metro transit fare changes that could take effect next March.

The proposal includes a 25 cent increase for a 1-Ride fair on local bus/LINK/light rail and a 50 cent increase for a 1-Ride fare on Express/RAPID, according to a news release from Valley Metro.

Presentations will not be provided at the open houses, however staff and materials will be available to share information and take comments.

In addition to the potential transit fare change, a new 15-day pass is proposed for local bus/LINK/light rail and the 3-day pass could be discontinued, according to Valley Metro.
