PHOENIX - President Barack Obama has released his "long form" birth certificate, hoping to put an end to questions over his citizenship.

But it appears only to have fueled even more questions for one Arizona lawmaker.

Arizona State Representative Carl Seel, District 6, said he's happy the President finally produced the documents and even thanked Donald Trump for getting the job done, but Seel says there are still many doubts.

"Like anything you have to trust, but verify," said Seel.

Seel is the sponsor of the state's candidate certification bill, which was vetoed by Governor Jan Brewer leading some Republicans to question her party loyalty.

The bill would have required candidates, including presidential candidates, to prove citizenship before their name could be placed on an Arizona ballot.

Seel wants to see the President's documents validated, specifically, "a forensic evaluation of the document because there are just so many questions about it."

Seel's skepticism doesn't surprise political analyst Michael O'Neil, who says,  "It's very, very hard to dispute somebody that is wedded to some sort of conspiracy theory because every explanation only begets a suggestion that there's a wider conspiracy and even more people are in on it."

That may be the case, as now Obama's father's citizenship is being called into question.

"Obama is born to two parents, one of a foreign nation i.e. Britain and may have bifurcated dual citizenship which by definition is not natural born citizenship," said Seel.

Seel added, if the President's father was not a U.S. citizen when he was born in Hawaii, that would make the President a naturalized citizen, not natural born.

"It's hard for me to escape the conclusion that racism is a part of this," said O'Neil, who added that he's never known of a President forced to show a long form birth certificate to validate his citizenship.
