FLORENCE, AZ - The Arizona Commerce Authority has awarded nearly $500,000 in grant money to support job growth and economic development in Pinal County.

The Central Arizona Regional Economic Development Foundation received its grants for two projects -- one at a dairy processing facility, the other at a manufacturing site.

Officials say Ehrmann and Commonwealth Dairy will uses its portion of the $490,000 grant to construct a waste pretreatment facility at a new 90,000 square foot site that processes dairy for manufacturing yogurt.

Phoenix Technology Works Inc. will use the funds to expand its existing facility where it produces molds and tools for aerospace, marine and transportation use.

In addition, Casa Grande was awarded money to fund a Franklin Foods project aimed at constructing a cream cheese manufacturing plant.
