PHOENIX - It was a big day in the Valley as Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton declared Wednesday " ABC15's Operation Santa Claus Day."

In his proclamation, Stanton praised the annual event's efforts and the Valley charities Operation Santa Claus serves.

,"I, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, do hereby declare this day, December 5, 2012 as 'ABC15's Operation Santa Claus Day' in the City of Phoenix, and I call this observance to the attention of our citizens," the proclomation read.

ABC15 is making it easy to donate to Arizona families during our special Claus-a-Thon, with a phone bank from 5 a.m. until 7 p.m., along with special broadcasts from drop-off locations spread around the Valley . To make a donation to the phone bank, call 1-877-222-5698.
