Election results: Thousands of Arizona ballots uncounted as of Election Night

PHOENIX - State officials say thousands of Arizona ballots have yet to be counted in Election 2012.
According to Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell, more than 112,000 early votes have yet to be counted. Their offices reportedly received about 700,000 total and were able to tally just under 588,000 as of Tuesday night.
Secretary of State officials said they were told by the county that an additional 100,000 provisional ballots also remain to be counted, but county officials would not confirm a specific number with ABC15.
Mayor Greg Stanton told ABC15, "There are an unusually high number of provisional ballots. The main thing is that we get every single one counted, no matter how long it takes, even if it means we can't call the election tonight. Every single vote in our city needs to be counted. There are a high number coming from south Phoenix and west Phoenix many of them are Latinos... It is critically important that every vote counts."
Purcell said the remaining early votes will be counted over the next couple days. It is unclear when they expect to have all of the votes tabulated.
