PHOENIX - Officials with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety say drunken driving arrests during holidays have fallen more than 25 percent in the past three years.
Arrest figures show that 2,386 people were caught driving drunk in Arizona between Nov. 24 and Wednesday.
During the same period in 2009, there were 3,186 arrests by officers assigned to a statewide holiday DUI task force.
The total number of traffic stops conducted by the nearly 5,000 officers assigned to the task force dropped by 26 percent.
