PHOENIX - State officials say a computer outage is blocking processing of driver license and motor vehicle transactions.

The Department of Transportation says the Motor Vehicle Division computer system is expected to be out of service at least part of Friday afternoon.

According to the Transportation Department, technicians are working to resolve the problem that involves a mainframe run by the Department of Administration.

A Department of Administration spokesman did not immediately respond to messages asking for comment.
