PHOENIX - This fall semester is a season of records and firsts for Arizona State University, as ASU's enrollment numbers climb even higher and the Lake Havasu City campus welcomed its first students.
ASU officials said that ASU's overall enrollment hit 73,373 students, topping last year's enrollment by 1,119 students. And many of these students come from different ethnic and national backgrounds. According to officials, international students from more than 120 countries attend ASU.
ASU officials have called the freshman class "stronger than ever," as the mean of their high school grade point averages reached 3.47.
The university also opened its Lake Havasu City campus this fall, welcoming its 70 new students.
