PHOENIX - The commissioner of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission has resigned.
Jack Husted said he wanted to "embark on a new chapter" in life focusing on his family, faith and professional endeavors in his resignation letter dated April 11 to Governor Jan Brewer.
In his letter, Husted said he was "grateful" for the time he had serving as part of the Governor's administration.
Husted was appointed by the governor and confirmed in April 2009. He replaced Bill McLean whose term was expiring at the time.
Brewer has accepted his resignation.
