Arizona fuel prices lower as drivers hit the road for holiday weekend

PHOENIX - As Arizonans hit the road for the long holiday weekend, they will be pleasantly surprised when they fill up.
AAA says gas prices in Arizona average $2.70 per gallon, a drop of 2.6 cents from last week.
Statewide, Tucson and Flagstaff hold the low and high fuel averages at $2.50 and $2.93 per gallon, respectively.
The auto club estimates more than 665,500 Arizonans will hit the road over Labor Day weekend.
