PHOENIX - Nothing has changed the face of politics more than social media like Facebook.
"We have thousands of followers on Facebook and Twitter, its a great way to get the message out" said Oliver Schwab, campaign manager for David Scheikert.
You can find candidates using these technologies as much as shaking hands and kissing babies. They can reach thousands of followers with the push of a button and get messages right back.
"It used to be phone calls and mailers and now it's so much more and especially social media," said David Scheikert who is running againt Harry Mitchell for Congress.
And that is the flipside of social media, it's a two-way street. Voters can reach the candidates and share their thoughts.
"You can tweet David and it goes right to his phone," Schwab said.
"It's less intrusive than that phone call during dinner," says social media expert Jennifer Maggiore. "It shows the candidates are willing to engage with the people who put them in office."
