A massive eruption from the Sun Friday created by back-to-back solar storms was captured on camera by a NASA spacecraft.

The eruptions, which are called solar prominences, occurred at 1 a.m. EST (11 p.m. Arizona time Thursday), according to csmonitor.com .

According to the report, the prominences were so large, they expanded beyond the camera view of NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).

The report says the solar eruption does not appear to be aimed at Earth, which means it will have little to no effect on our planet.
