It's true, Twitter turned 7 years old Thursday. While it can't drive a car yet, it certainly can have fun on the playground.

The social media giant packs news, gossip, sports scores, pictures, angry customer complaints and hashtags all within the confines of 140 characters.

Those tweets blast out of computers, smartphones and tablets by the thousands every minute.

In a blog , Twitter said they have over 200 million active users who generate over 400 million. Yes, you read that correctly -- every single day.

You can eve watch a video of how Twitter has impacted the world throughout the years.

If you'd like to wish Twitter a "Happy Birthday", make sure to use the hashtag #Twitter7.

Feel free to share how you navigate and utilize the Twittersphere. News. Entertainment. Gossip. Conversation.
